West African jams in U.S. are a sweet success
ImageIn the newsletter this month, learn how Zena Exotic Fruits is succeeding in reaching out to new markets. In 1984, Zena Exotic Fruits had only three employees producing and selling small quantities of mango jam locally in Dakar, Senegal. Today, thanks to its owners’ ambitions and expert advice, its 42 employees – 30 of them women – are producing 700 tons of uniquely West African jams, jellies, marmalades and syrups annually for global export.
