USAID’s West Africa Trade Hub and the University of Ghana, Legon introduce a public lecture by internationally recognized Applied Economics Professor Daniel Bromley of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the U.S. on October 13, at the British Council, Accra.
It's widely understood that when West African companies export more products to world markets, doing so creates jobs and generates more income. But how many jobs are created and how much income? The lecture, “Exports, Employment and Incomes in West Africa.” will present findings of a study, Dr.Bromley conducted with the University of Ghana researchers in Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Mali, that increased exports creates jobs and also creates income, which will have a potent impact on the economy.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 13 at 5 p.m.
WHERE: The British Council, Accra, Ghana
