Cashews
Our regional cashew study describes domestic cashew marketing and urban consumption patterns in ten West African countries in order to gain a better understanding of how cashews are sold at retail establishments, who buys them, what consumer preferences are for cashews as compared to competing snack foods, and how domestic and regional sales of cashews and products using cashews as an ingredient might be increased. The study also summarizes available information about known cashew processors in the region, covering industrial processing plants thoroughly and small artisanal shellers and roasters less thoroughly. The overall study is available in French, English, and Portuguese.
