ABOUT THE TRADE HUB
The West Africa Trade and Investment Hub, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the American people, is working across West Africa to build the capacity of stakeholders to improve sanitary quality, transportation and post-harvest practices in the mango industry and in 2016, expanded this training to Côte d’Ivoire. The Trade Hub is organizing this symposium in partnership with the Fonds Interprofessionnel pour la Recherche et le Conseil Agricole (FIRCA) and the Ivorian Chamber of Commerce. More than 100 growers, processors, traders and buyers from Europe, Southern and West Africa and the U.S. are expected to attend the event.

Fonds Interprofessionnel pour la Recherche et le Conseil Agricole
FIRCA is a professional instrument for the financing of Ivorian agriculture oriented towards the promotion of agricultural sectors through technological progress and improvement of farmers’ livelihood. Since 2011, FIRCA has assumed the role of national implementing agency for programs co-financed with development partners (World Bank, European Union, and French Development Agency). With the support of FIRCA, several organizations have undertaken mango processing activities and attracted the demand of foreign importers, particularly South-Africans. » Read more
Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cote d’Ivoire (CCI-CI) values the interests of the mango industry by ensuring better structuring of its actors, notably through its program of professionalization of agricultural product sectors. CCI-CI focuses on building the capacity of stakeholders in the development and promotion of processed products such as dried mango and other derivatives. » Read more
