Global Exports

The Trade Hub works through a network of West African partners to expand exports in targeted sectors, including mangoes, shea, cashews, and apparel. Our tailored approach to each sector emphasizes development of market and trade linkages and includes a mix of support for lead firms and for national and regional associations.

The Trade Hub also informs businesses, governments and investors about key trade issues—including duty-free exports to the U.S. under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA)—by partnering with a network of AGOA Trade Resource Centers across West Africa.

Funding to support global exports comes through the U.S. Government’s Africa Competitiveness and Trade Expansion (ACTE) Initiative, which aims to increase Africa’s share of world trade.
